That made me cry! May not have circumnavigated (yet) but vicariously you took us on your journey, and I was there with you between the jetties of Newport Harbor entrance through the great video you made. Michael, all the best to you, Barbara and Brian

Dear Michael,
What a wonderful recap! Interesting you invoked “Endless Summer”, I found myself using that same reference — I guess we are products of the 60/70s when that movie came out!
I am envious that you did three years staying out of harm’s way. Jim and I encountered armed pirates when we were 37 miles off coast of Venezuela equidistant between Los Testigos and Isla Margarita on an eight hour passage. They didn’t take our lives but everything of value that they could fit in their 16′ pinero. And, we’re only 1 1/2 years into our “living our dream”!
You are a busy man with your law practice and now making a documentary, but I hope you’ll stay in touch.
Wishing you the best,
Ellen Birrell and Jim Hutchins

Congratulations!!!! I am so proud of you all. Fabulous Balboa welcome to a deserving ship! Hope to see you sometime soon.
